Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"I love going here for legit Korean food. The banchan is amazing. It’s well-seasoned, complex and so unlike the side dishes you get from common unli samgyupsal (obviously, since the place is owned by Koreans). The owners are engaging and kind, and while talking to them, you can feel how they truly want to offer authentic Korean food without compromising. I unfortunately wasn’t able to try Hanwoo beef since it was unavailable (apparently, they are delivered from S. Korea every Friday), but the usual cuts of woo samgyup and pork ribs are great. My only gripe is that since they’re the ones that cook it, it can become cold quickly. The beef tartare was amazing too. It’s a surprisingly refreshing and clean dish with heavy notes of sesame oil. If you get the grilled meat, it can get expensive quickly. If you opt for the individual meals, the serving is too much for one person. Nonetheless, it’s absolutely value for money."
"Servings are usually good for 3. We over ordered, but take away is possible. Warm and friendly atmosphere. The food " takes you back to South Korea". Authentic, fresh and so good! This is a place that you can run down each menu item for every visit. Thank you!"
"A quaint and homey Korean restaurant situated in the heart of BF Homes. The food was deliciously authentic. We felt like the dishes had a depth of flavor that isn't typically present in regular Korean restaurants. Although the prices are slightly heftier, the quality of the meal justifies it. We enjoyed their Bosam, Gamjatang, and Kimchi-jjigae- especially in this rainy weather. The owner of the restaurant made sure that we were comfortable and took the time to ask us about our experience. A definite stop for anyone who is looking for solid Korean food."
"Love this place! I’ve been eating here for almost two years now, and it’s always something I look forward to. My go-to dishes are the Gamjatang, Samgyupsal (ask for the thick cut!), Pajeon, and their sashimi bibimbap. Every bite takes me back to my trips to Seoul. The food is consistently great, especially the banchan. Portions are generous, so you’ll definitely leave full. Technically, the banchan refills are limited, but once you get to know the owners, they sometimes make exceptions. Speaking of the owners… The owners are a lovely Korean couple, warm, hospitable, and accommodating (the wife is the chef/ cook). Their presence really adds to the whole experience. That’s why this place feels special. For us, it’s like having a little taste of Korea right here in BF Homes. Not the cheapest place but you get what you pay for!"
"The food is delicious. Korean vibe . Bit expensive but for me its worth it.."
"Our forever favorite authentic Korean restaurant. As in legit Korean food, generous servings — Nothing compares"
"If you are looking for the real deal Korean experience, look no further! Stepping into this restaurant made me feel like a foreigner as all tables were occupied by Koreans. No unlimited bbq here, just very good quality korean food. They even have raw marinated crab which is a huge plus for me. Prices are not that expensive and menu is extensive. Truly a hidden gem inside BF homes. Highly recommended!!"
"Finally decided to visit this Korean restaurant that has become the buzz of BF Homes. What else can I say? Truly exceptional, delicious food. Had to go there twice on successive days — our gracious host, Mr. Lee, recommends that you make early reservations or visit lunch time, since dinner is usually packed. The food is so clean, so balanced. And the portions are so generous. The Korean appetizers, which are homemade by the chef with imported premium ingredients, are already enough for one meal. Fiancée and I had the wonderful crispy pajeon that basically had no filler, just perfectly cooked chives and shrimp. Also ordered the gamja tang (pork bone soup) and yuk gye jang (beef soup), which were two amazing soups, brimming with complex flavors and fall-of-the-bone meat. The night before I ordered the sundubu, and it's probably my favorite thing off their menu, until I try another item that catches my eye. Last highlight was the sikhye, basically rice punch, the perfect meal-ender and a cooling dessert after all that spice. This is great, great food from a simple family-run restaurant. And the hosts, including Mr. Lee, are so nice, and were willing to teach us the proper way to eat these meals. Make sure to make reservations beforehand. I wish them all the best. They deserve all the acclaim with such amazing food."
